Malam ini Halloween. Baru sekejap tadi beberapa orang budak bersama bapanya datang ke rumah meminta coklat. Nak tak nak terpaksa la bagi..Kalau tak bagi nangis pulak nanti budak-budak tu. Siap pakai costume Halloween lagi...Haish, manusia ni pelik betul la. Perayaan hantu pun nak sambut. Biar je lah hantu yang sambut. Jangan la kita duk tiru pulak perangai hantu. Apa yang penting kita kena doakan mereka supaya mereka beroleh hidayah daripada Allah dan doakan tiada maksiat berlaku malam ini.Dan yang lebih penting, doakan supaya tiada student Malaysia turut sama menyambut Halloween.
Sebenarnya bukan itu yang menyebabkan aku gembira malam ini. Alhamdulillah, petang tadi Allah masih memberi kesempatan pada aku untuk mengikuti jaulah mingguan di Islamic Center of Rochester.

Selepas melawat beberapa rumah saudara seiman, kami kembali ke Islamic Center untuk solat maghrib..selepas selesai solat, Imam memberitahu komuniti muslim Rochester akan memperoleh seorang lagi saudara baru pada malam ini. Pada malam Halloween yang disambut dengan pelbagai hiburan, Allah menukarkannya dengan seorang lagi new muslim brother, Brother Matthew..Dia sudah lama mencari kebenaran, mengkaji pelbagai agama dan akhirnya dia menemui bahwa Islam adalah agama yang Haq. Alhamdulillah. Moga Allah menjadikannya seorang lagi penolong agama Allah di bumi Amerika ini.InsyaAllah sama-sama kita doakan.
Satu lagi berita yang membuatkan aku gembira adalah aku beroleh seorang lagi sahabat berjuang. Dan insyaAllah kami akan sama-sama meninggikan kalimah Tauhid di bumi ini..Doakan supaya lebih ramai yang mendapat hidayah dan sama-sama membantu agama Allah..

Bila Sendiri Bila diri berada sendirian… Mula mengenal Tuhan… Tapi mungkin juga mula mengikut telunjuk syaitan…
Manusia takkan dapat hidup sendirian. Memang itulah fitrah manusia. Adam a.s. memerlukan Hawa sebagai teman hidupnya. Begitu juga manusia lain. Tapi bukan itu yang aku ingin tulis kali ni…Tapi saat bersendirian. Saat dimana kita berada berseorangan. Saat dimana kita merasakan bahawa kita tidak dapat dilihat oleh sesiapapun. Saat hati mula mengarah kearah kebaikan ataupun kejahatan..Padahal kita lupa bahawa kita sedang dilihat oleh Allah s.w.t setiapa masa dan tempat.
Teringat satu kisah seorang guru silat dengan tiga orang anak muridnya. Satu hari, si guru ingin memilih salah seorang antara tiga orang muridnya yang akan menggantikannya setelah dia tiada. Si guru memberi seekor ayam kepada setiap muridnya dan menyuruh mereka menyembelih ayam itu di tempat dimana tiada siapapun yang melihat mereka. Maka pergilah ketiga-tiga orang murid tadi untuk mencari tempat yang tidak mampu dilihat oleh sesiapapun. Seorang pergi ke hutan dan menyembelih ayam yang diberikan. Seorang lagi pula mencari sebuah rumah kosong yang telah tidak berpenghuni dan setelah dia memastikan tiada siapapun yang melihatnya, dia tanpa ragu menyembelih ayam yang diberikan.
Seorang lagi murid masih tercari-cari dimanakah dia patut menyembelih ayam yang diberikan kepadanya. Dia pergi ke hutan, tapi dia masih merasakan dia sedang dilihat. Kemudian dia pergi ke sebuah perigi buta dan masuk ke dalamnya, tapi dia masih tidak mampu menyembelih ayamnya kerana dia merasakan dia sedang diperhatikan. Setelah penat mencari tempat, dia mengambil keputusan untuk pulang bertemu gurunya walaupun dia dimarahi kerana tidak berjaya menyembelih ayam yang diberikan oleh gurunya.
Setelah pulang, dia melihat dua rakan seperguruannya tersenyum dan kelihatan gembira. Dia dapat mengagak bahawa rakannya dapat menyempurnakan tugas yang diamanahkan kepada mereka dengan baik. Gurunya marah kerana dia tidak menyembelih ayamnya.
“ Kenapa kamu tak buat seperti yang Tok perintahkan?” Gurunya bertanya dengan nada marah.
“ Saya tidak berjaya menemui satu tempat pun yang tiada siapa boleh melihat saya Tok. Setiap masa dan setiap tempat saya rasa saya diperhatikan. Dan tidak ada satu tempat pun dimana Allah tidak melihat saya.”
Mendengar jawapan anak muridnya tadi, si guru mula tersenyum dan berkata;
“ Kamulah yang layak menggantikan tempat Tok nanti. Sesungguhnya tiada satu tempat pun di ala mini yang Allah s.w.t. tidak melihat. Allah s.w.t. itu Maha Melihat, walaupun kamu pada masa itu berada sendirian. Dan Allah mengetahui setiap hati kamu. Sama ada berniat baik atau jahat.”
Mendengar gurunya berkata demikian, dua orang anak muridnya terus tunduk dan diam. Mereka sedar mereka telah terlepas peluang untuk menggantikan tempat gurunya…
Begitulah dalam hidup kita, kita takkan dapat lari daripada pengawasan Allah. Sebab itulah beringat-ingat bila kita sendirian. Nafsu dan syaitan akan mula menghasut kita untuk melakukan perkara mungkar…Moga kita terhindar daripadanya…

Umat Islam di London akan memiliki sebuah masjid berprestij tinggi yang dapat menampung lebih dari 40.000 (empat puluh ribu) jamaah dalam satu masa. Tapak masjid ini merupakan bekas tapak stadium olahraga yang dulunya digunakan untuk sukan kriket. Sejak stadium ini tidak digunakan lagi oleh peminat sukan kriket ini, maka stadium ini di jual kepada orang Islam. "Ini akan menjadi sesuatu yang belum pernah dilihat di negara ini ." Kata Abdul Khalique, Ketua Jamaah Tabligh ketika itu.
Masjid yang didaftar dengan nama Abbey Mills Mosque ini terletak di Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, London. Di sekitar Kawasan Industri dan Stadium Bawah tanah Westham. Lokasinya sendiri menempati tanah seluas 7,3 (ha) hektar dengan alamat Canning Road,London, E15 3NX, England.
Proses pembangunan masjid ini sendiri mendapat kontroversi, sejak diusulkan pada tahun 2005 yang lalu, dan memerlukan proses pembinaan yang panjang, kerana sebahagian masyarakat London, bimbang, bila masjid itu nanti digunakan sebagai markaz teroris. Tetapi sudah ditegaskan oleh tokoh-tokoh Jamaah Tabligh (JT) bahwa JT adalah organisasi non politik dan tidak ada hubungannya dengan tindakan terorisme di manapun di muka bumi ini.
Pembangunan masjid ini sendiri menelan belanja sebesar lebih dari 100 juta poundsterling, yang dikumpulkan dari seluruh ummat Islam di London dan negara-negara lain, dan perlu dicatat bahawa kerajaan Saudi Arabia tidak berada di sebalik pendanaan masjid ini. Pembangunan masjid di tangani oleh Ali Mangera, the London and Barcelona-based architect.
Following the Sunnah (example) of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a fundamental part of Islam.. Allah orders us in numerous places in the Qu'ran to obey Him and to obey the messenger. Alhumdulillah, the record of the Prophet's (sunnah) have been kept until the present day. It is to our own detriment, if we fail to study both the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
To be a true Muslim, the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) must be followed. The sources of information about the Sunnah are found in Hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet as well as things that he silently consented to). There are many authentic books of hadith from which these references are derived as well as scholars of hadith, who spend years of memorizing, studying and understanding the science of hadith.
When a Muslim knows the Qu'ran and seeks to obey the orders of Allah (ta'ala), it naturally follows that he/she will obey the Prophet (peace be upon him) as this is ordered by Allah in Qu'ran.
{And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad ) that you may obtain mercy}(3:132)
Islam is a way of life. Not just a set of orders, restrictions etc, but a spiritual, practical and natural development of the human being and society into a well organized, just and pious state of being. Muslims are those who, by following the Prophet (peace be upon him), who was said to be the 'Qu'ran in action', develop characteristics that are esteemed by all. It is upon the base of such characters, that a truly Islamic society emerges.
The Muslim who follows the Sunnah, learns how to combine strength with gentleness, modesty with courage, patience with fortitude and spirituality with practicality. The Muslim who follows the sunnah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is kind, gentle and generous to the family, hospitable to the guest, brave in battle and forgiving in victory. The Muslim who follows the Sunnah is modest in dress and manners, wealth is marked by humility and generosity, poverty is accompanied by patience, hope and effort, malice and revenge have no place in the heart and the constant love and fear of Allah (ta'ala) reigns supreme in both heart and mind, and is the pivot point of action in their lives.
May Allah (ta'ala) fortify our Iman and give us knowledge that is beneficial to us. May He, Who is the Most Merciful, let us appreciate the light of Islam, amidst the degeneration of mankind, and establish us on the way of the Sunnah.
Despite the end of strawberry season, there are apple, grapes and many more to come – fruits harvesting season during summertime in the north hemisphere. Don’t miss out. Plucking and eating the sweet juicy plum under its tree is really a remarkable experience, especially if it is your first time. So, let’s go fruit picking, as well as fruit eating!
By the way, there are plenty signs of the Creator on fruits. For instance, fruits of diverse colours, tastes, fragrances and sizes produced from the same soil and climate. In the mean time, we used to pick reddish apple, greenly pear and yellowish plum in the same farm. Once at the tropical farm, I used to eat yellowish banana, reddish and hairy rambutan and blackish mangosteen in the same farm.
On the other hand, God creates varieties of single fruit. The wide range of various fruits is explicitly mentioned in the Qur’an:
"It is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth green stalks, from which We bring forth thick clustered grain. And out of the date palm and its spathe come forth clusters of dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when they begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof. Verily! In these things there are signs for people who believe." (Al-An’am, 6: 99)
So many verses about fruits in the Qur’an with several terms like thamar, thamarat, fakihah, fawakih and jana (fruits), nakhl and nakhil (dates), ‘inab and a’nab (grapes), rumman (pomegranates), teen (figs) and zaitun (olives). There is also thalh (banana tree) as in Ar-Rahman. However, it never limits the vast variety of fruits in the world, the great favour from God.
It is also very amazing by thinking of fruits juicy flesh that originally comes from the tasteless and without Vitamin C fresh water of rain. Definitely, through photosynthesis, fruits determined by the rain, by the nature, which is governed by God:
"And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters." (Al-Mu’minun, 23: 18-20)
Thence, God Himself makes a challenge, asking human to send down water from sky as in al-Waqi’ah, 56: 68-69 and al-Mulk, 67: 30. The story of Saba in the Qur’an (Saba, 34: 15-17), lays a great lesson. Since the civilised Sabaean people turned away from Allah, the flood of Arim finally destroyed their great civilization including their gardens and fruits farms. Allah replaced their sweet juicy fruits with the bitter fruits. The utmost conclusion here is fruits are from God. Man sows, plants, sprays, prunes etc, but God gives life for it to grow, develop and ripe.
While you are picking and eating the ready-to-eat food made by God, try to visualize that you are able to do it in your kitchen, dining room and bedroom. What such of paradise life! Says Allah: "Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand." (Ar-Rahman, 55: 54)
In another passage, Allah states:
"And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruits thereof will hang low within their reach (to be picked)." (Al-Insan, 76: 14)
Now, imagine you are now inside the fruit farm, eating juicy oranges or plum or whatever juicy or thirst quenching fruits you are most like. The juicy flesh mixes with the saliva, stimulating the microvilli on your tongue, which then start making nerve signals. After that, accelerating the signals towards brain.
The brain interprets the signals and identifies the taste. Later they are translated into expression such as “aaah, it’s lovely juicy” or “so delicious, so tangy!” Nevertheless, this is only a tiny speck of provision compared to the universe of provisions in the truly paradise. Paradise life is beyond the dimension of space and time, beyond our imagination.
There is Greatness of Allah behind fruit picking. There are beauties of paradise in hereafter behind fruit picking too. Thus, to reflect ourselves about this impermanent life. Either in the backyard or fruit farm, enjoy fruit picking with our heart and mind!
